Our Cause
Saint Vincent Haven
With respect and compassion, motivated by gospel values and following the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Vincent Haven will provide emergency and transitional housing for those that are homeless with the goal of building the individual's life skills and self-reliance as a foundation for permanent housing.
St. Vincent Haven (SVH) opened Dec. 13, 2009. Since expanding on March 10, 2023, SVH is now a privately funded 50-bed emergency program shelter for men who are homeless in Licking County. Services are geared to build residents' life skills. Volunteer and funding support from local businesses and citizens allow SVH to provide safe shelter, support, and advocacy. Assistance is provided to residents to help them find employment, improve educational skills, address mental health, physical health, or substance abuse issues. Great strides have been made to meet the needs of men who are homeless in our community. From January 2010 through today, SVH served more than 3,000 unduplicated residents, providing over 120,000 nights of safe shelter. The St. Vincent Haven Charity Golf outing has raised more than $265,000.
Continued funding is critical to sustain The Haven and we hope to make this year’s event a huge success. We are so thrilled about The Haven’s Building Hope Campaign. The building has been built but they still need your help raising $1,400,000 to expand their programming and more. Please scan the QR code below to learn more about the expansion and how you can help give a hand-up to those in need.
Thanks for showing your support and pulling together a foursome of family and friends for a day of fun at the Denison Golf Club at Granville. Charity support has never been this easy and fun. Many prizes will be offered for placement and participation.
